ABS with EBD
ABS allows you to manoeuvre safely around obstacles even during emergency braking. EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution) assists by applying additional force to the rear brakes as needed, enabling quicker stops even when carrying passengers and heavy loads.
Active Stability & Traction Control [ASTC]
Active Stability & Traction Control independently regulates braking force to the wheels during cornering to help maintain excellent vehicle stability when needed. It also optimises traction to prevent loss of torque whenever wheel spin is detected by controlling engine output and applying brake force to the spinning wheels.
Auto door relock system
Within 30 seconds of pressing the unlock button from outside the car, this system will automatically relock all the doors if none have been opened.
Auto speed adjustable wipers
In the Timing mode, the window wipers operate faster at higher vehicle speeds.
Auto dimming rearview mirror
This mirror automatically reduces glare from the headlights of cars behind you to maintain a clear rearview and support safer driving.
Blind Spot Warning System
This safety feature uses ultrasonic sensors on the rear bumper to detect vehicles in your rear blind spots, on the right and left sides. When a vehicle is detected, a warning indicator appears on the door mirror on that side.
EASY SELECT 4WD
Switch from smooth 2WD (2H) highway performance to rugged 4WD (4H) traction while driving at up to 100km/h. Transfer torque to all four wheels with a flick of the drive mode selector dial in the 4H mode or by entering the 4L mode, which provides lower gear ratios and higher torque for slower speed driving in rough terrain.
Note: Easy Select 4WD lets you shift between 2H and 4H modes at speed up to 100km/h. Vehicle must be stopped when switching between 4H and 4L. Please see the owner's manual for additional information. Note: On vehicles with M/T, set the drive modeselector to “4LLc” position. When using the Hill Descent Control while driving except in “4LLc” position, the engine may stall. As a result, it could lose the brake effectiveness or lock the tyres, which may lead to a serious accident. Note: Hill Descent Control [HDC] is not a substitute for safe driving. Never rely solely on this function while driving on steep roads. When driving on slippery roads such as muddy, icy or unpaved road, your vehicle will not allow you to stay at a certain low speed, which may lead to a serious accident. Please see the owner’s manual for additional information. NEW NEW EASY SELECT 4WD Switch
Forward Collision Mitigation system [FCM]
Helps prevent a frontal collision or reduce damage if the collision becomes unavoidable. Responds to vehicles and pedestrians via camera and laser radar.
Headlamp auto off function
After switching off the ignition and stepping out of the car, the headlamps automatically turn off to help conserve battery power.
Hill Descent Control [HDC]
Pressing the HDC mode selector activates the HDC, which automatically applies the brakes to maintain your current speed when travelling downhill. This lets you concentrate on steering and travel downhill with greater safety without having to manually apply the brakes. On vehicles with automatic transmission, HDC can be activated at 2 – 20km/h. On vehicles with manual transmission, HDC can be activated in 1st gear at 3 – 20km/h.
Hill Start Assist [HSA]
When starting on a steep slope, HSA helps prevent you from rolling backwards while you release the brake by maintaining the braking force for up to two seconds until the accelerator is applied.
Keyless operation system
While carrying the key, you can press a button on the outside of either front door to lock or unlock all the doors, or press the engine switch in the cockpit to start the engine.
Lane Departure Warning System [LDW]
If you start drifting from your lane when travelling over 65km/h, the LDW system detects it via windshield camera and alerts you with an audible alarm and warning lamp.
Multi Around Monitor
The views from cameras mounted on the front, rear and sides of the vehicle (including a bird’s-eye view) can be displayed in various combinations to reveal what is in blind spots and help you park more safely.
OFF ROAD MODE
Improve traction when driving off road by selecting between the Gravel, Mud/snow, Sand or Rock* settings. Simply press the OFF ROAD MODE selector until the appropriate mode appears in the multiinformation display. Engine output, transmission settings and braking adjust accordingly to optimise performance.
Note: In models with SS4-II, OFF ROAD MODE is only available in the 4HLc and 4LLc settings. *In models with SS4-II, the ROCK setting is only available in the 4HLc and 4LLc settings.
Power window timer
Even after shutting off the engine, the power windows can be opened or closed for 30 seconds before opening the door.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert [RCTA]
An indicator appears in the combination meter display when RCTA is active. If radar sensors in the rear bumper detect an approaching vehicle nearby while reverse gear is engaged, a warning message appears in the multi-information display, a buzzer sounds and an indicator blinks in both door mirrors.
Designed to climb up, over, around and through the toughest terrain, because challenges come in all shapes and sizes
Trailer Stability Assist [TSA]
TSA increases stability when towing. If vehicle swaying is detected, It automatically controls engine power and the braking force to each wheel to stabilise the vehicle and trailer.
Ultrasonic misacceleration Mitigation System [UMS]
To help prevent collisions while parking, this system sounds a buzzer and displays a warning if front or rear sensors detect a nearby obstacle in your path. Engine output is also automatically controlled if you suddenly accelerate by accident.
